Indexes

Due to changes from artificial intelligence lifting information sources as its own without approval from those sources, SqlinSix only shows a few random years for each index highlighted below this.

USA Inflation Index

SqlinSix tracks three inflation indexes, given that its founder started collecting data on key consumer goods during elementary school. The below three data points come from the general inflation index.

  • Year 2004. Index value 15.04

  • Year 2011. Index value 32.03

  • Year 2023. Index value 50.88

The highest annual inflation since 2000 was 19.37% (2007). SqlinSix differs from other sources of inflation information. For convenience, SqlinSix links to other source of inflation linked below this and notes the highest reported inflation number from these sources since 2000:

  • Federal reserve. Reports since 1913. Highest annual inflation reported since 2000 is 8% in 2022 (see Annual Percent Change (rate of inflation) column).

  • Investopedia. Reports since 1929. Highest annual inflation reported since 2000 is 7% in 2021 (see Inflation Rate YOY, From Previous Dec. column).

  • US inflation calculator. Reports since 2000. Highest annual inflation reported since 2000 is 8% in 2022 (see Ave column).

Treasury Index

SqlinSix does not subscribe to the modern economic theory that "money" can ever be free (0% or lower interest rates), as inherent in the definition of money is stored energy (value) plus time. Time comes with an extremely high cost. SqlinSix tracks its own treasury index, which SqlinSix perceives to be a better measurement of stored energy (value) plus time. The index started at a value of 100.

  • Year 2006. Index value 1,857.23

  • Year 2017. Index value 3,476.35

  • Year 2023. Index value 57,780.69

Insurance Premium Indexes

SqlinSix may provide actuarial or insurance data solutions to some jurisdictions. SqlinSix does not offer actuarial or insurance data services to companies in the United States of America or the European Union. In addition, SqlinSix does not directly provide insurance services.

The below values represent the first ten years of general premiums for insured members. However, this varies heavily by jurisdiction.

  • Years 1 - 5: 1.00 x established premium (in fixed units of gold)

  • Years 6 - 8: 0.93 x established premium (in fixed units of gold)

  • Years 9 and 10: 0.89 x established premium (in fixed units of gold)

All premiums use gold as the numeraire, as gold provides price discovery.

Gold Yield Index

The gold yield index at the start of 2025 is 3.7%.

Terms.

The infrequent social terms that appear on this page are defined on this page as follows:

Late in life. In the United States of America, late in life begins at 40. Due to a significant drop in life expectancies beginning in 2014, an increasingly growing percentage of Americans will never live to 80.

Side Study

Because one of our team members became a grandparent at 37, we've enjoyed creating a joy index of life. We theorized that joy contributed health and have researched this extensively.

We have found some very counter intuitive observations about joy during this research. In fact, the word joy is rarely used in culture, yet it's one of the most important virtues to cultivate. One surprising finding involves the group of people who experience the greatest amount of happiness in life. The happiest men and women late in life based on our joy rating: Grandparents.

In our research we've found that men are happier than women in late in life, but grandparents rank the happiest among all groups across all ages.

Getting married and having children at 18 was an extremely contrarian act for Millennials. The founder of SqlinSix noted in 2009:

"Approximately 19% of Millennials are married and about half of these married Millennials have children."

Of this group of Millennials, their oldest children as of 2025 are at least 16.

Our related research notes that "being a grandparent" ranks as the most enjoyable activity a person can experience of the people who experience it. "Being a grandparent" trumps travel, exceptional wealth, any educational/award attainment, time with friends, or short-term limbic rewarding activities (sex, drugs and alcohol).

If you're one of the lucky ones who lives to being a great-grandparent, you're also in for a surprise. Of the people who experience that (very, very few), that's another highest rated experience.

Fewer than 3% of people who live will ever achieve this though and with life expectancies continuing to drop in the United States, this will become even rarer over time.

The Golden Asteroid Story

SqlinSix shares the Golden Asteroid story from its founder and highlights how this foreshadows many coming surprises:

"In 2015, I gave a talk at a cryptosphere discussion on gold. My talk addressed how people around the world tend to view gold and why a cryptosphere project addressing this at the time (Digix) made sense.

One audience member remarked that gold wasn't rare because it was all over asteroids. You will find this belief common within the cryptoshere community. Since he made an assertion, I had a few questions for him about his assertion.

I asked him how much gold existed on the average asteroid. He didn't know.

I asked him how many metric tonnes of rock are needed to be extracted to get 1 troy ounce of gold on Earth. He didn't know.

I asked him how much would it cost to land robotic mining equipment on an asteroid. He didn't know.

I asked him how much would it cost to transport 1 metric tonne of gold from an asteroid to Earth. He didn't know.

I asked him how much the latest moon landing cost the United States - this felt like an easy question to answer for an American since the latest moon landing occurred in 1972. He didn't know.

I stated, 'The nominal cost for the 1972 moon landing was approximately $450 million dollars. If you accept the official inflation statistics, then adjusting for inflation would mean the cost of the 1972 moon landing would be over $125 billion as of 2015. Let's say we lucked out and it only cost us $50 billion. To break even with costs - not profit from our asteroid adventure - what would the cost of gold need to be per troy ounce to offset $50 billion for 1 metric tonne of gold?'

He had no idea.

I held nothing against this audience member. Whether he knew it or not, his critical thinking reflected search-engine-and-24-hour-news-cycle brain."

Applied Statistics In Fitness

Warning: A Future Cyberattack?

SqlinSix observed that he-who-cannot-be-named caught everyone by surprise. This includes many small businesses that never recovered from the devastation of he-who-cannot-be-named, while large corporations were able to snap up the small businesses' assets for pennies on the dollar.

SqlinSix cautions about similar patterns involving a possible future cyberattack. You can see a recent example of this, which has received little attention (only 327,000 views?). Look carefully at the details. Look at how it's impacting businesses. Look at how it's affecting citizens. Look at what it indicates about infrastructure in general. Notice how this event is happening while many feel distracted.

SqlinSix strongly recommends that all businesses have important data retained physically at minimum. We remain one of the few businesses in the world that specialize in physical data. SqlinSix unfortunately predicts that the next major crisis could be a cyberattack. SqlinSix sees this as a risk due to both the grid and general unpreparedness.. The World Economic Forum highlights how a cyber-attack could be even more devastating than he-who-cannot-be-named. Consider how people and businesses who only have digital value will lose all their value after a major cyberattack.

SqlinSix has said for years that key infrastructure should not be digital. The same applies to key data.

Research Assistance

Due to extreme legal bureaucracy, we may not service some industries within the United States of America or countries within the European Union for research or data needs. SqlinSix requests that you include your jurisdiction and industry in the below form.
